As a result, his fortune changed—his ships sank, his wealth disappeared, and his son was lost. Realizing his mistake, the merchant sincerely performed the puja with faith. By Lord Vishnu’s grace, his son returned, and his lost wealth was restored.

This story teaches that one should always keep their promises to God and never be arrogant about wealth and success.

The King’s Pride and Realization

There was once a king named Tungadhwaj, who was righteous but proud. One day, while hunting, he came across a group of villagers worshiping Lord Satya Narayan. Instead of joining them, he mocked the ritual and left without respect.

As a result of his disrespect and arrogance, he lost his kingdom, wealth, and family. When he realized his mistake, he repented and performed the Satya Narayan Puja with full devotion. Soon, he regained everything he had lost.
